How to Remove Powered by Blogger in 10 Tips

Remove Powered by Blogger

If you want to remove the "Powered by Blogger" attribution from your Blogger blog, you need to purchase a custom domain and connect it to your blog. This will remove the attribution and replace it with your own domain name.

Here are the steps to do this:

  1. Purchase a custom domain from a domain registrar such as Google Domains, Namecheap, or GoDaddy.

  2. In your Blogger dashboard, go to Settings > Basic and click on the "+ Set up a third-party URL for your blog" link.

  3. Enter your custom domain in the field provided, including the "www" prefix, and click on the "Save" button.

  4. You'll see an error message with two CNAME records that you need to add to your domain's DNS settings. These records will point your domain to your blog's server.

  5. Log in to your domain registrar's website and go to your domain's DNS settings.

  6. Add the two CNAME records provided by Blogger

  7. Wait for the DNS changes to propagate, which can take up to 24-48 hours.

  8. Once the DNS changes have propagated, go back to the "Settings > Basic" page in your Blogger dashboard and click on the "Edit" link next to your custom domain.

  9. Check the box that says "Redirect [yourdomain.com] to www.[yourdomain.com]" to ensure that visitors to your site will always see the "www" prefix.

  10. Click on the "Save" button.

That's it! Your blog should now be using your custom domain and the "Powered by Blogger" attribution should be removed.
